Types of Needle Roller Bearing:

    The needle bearing is a type of roller bearing with cylindrical rollers. Compared to its diameter, the rollers are both thin and long. These rollers are called needle rollers. Despite having a smaller cross-section, the bearing still has a high load-bearing capacity. The needle roller bearings are equipped with thin and long rollers (roller diameter D ≤ 5mm, L/D ≥ 2.5, L being the roller length), so the radial structure is compact. When the inner diameter size and load capacity of the bearing are the same as those of other types of bearings, the outer diameter is the smallest. It is particularly suitable for supporting structures where the radial installation size is restricted.
  Depending on the application, either a bearing without an inner ring or a needle roller and cage assembly can be selected. In this case, the shaft neck surface and the outer shell hole surface that match the bearing directly serve as the inner and outer rolling surfaces of the bearing. To ensure the load-bearing capacity and operational performance are the same as those of a bearing with a cage, the hardness, machining accuracy, and surface quality of the rolling surfaces of the shaft or shell hole should be similar to those of the bearing cage's rolling surfaces. This type of bearing can only withstand radial loads.
