Types of Thrust ball bearing:

Components of thrust ball bearings: A thrust ball bearing consists of three parts: the raceway, the inner ring, and the steel ball retaining ring assembly. The inner ring is in contact with the shaft, and the outer ring is in contact with the housing.

According to the force conditions, they are divided into single-direction thrust ball bearings and double-direction thrust ball bearings. Single-direction thrust ball bearings can withstand unidirectional axial loads. Double-direction thrust ball bearings can withstand bidirectional axial loads, with the inner ring in contact with the shaft. The installation surface of the outer ring is a spherical bearing, which has self-aligning performance and can reduce the influence of installation errors. Thrust ball bearings cannot withstand radial loads and have a lower limit rotational speed.

The application of thrust ball bearings: They are only suitable for components that bear one axial load and have a relatively low rotational speed. Examples include crane hooks, vertical water pumps, vertical centrifuges, jacks, low-speed reducers, etc. The inner ring, outer ring and rolling elements of the bearing are separate and can be disassembled and assembled separately.
